The rules is nobody have own kids, everybody works the same, same houses, same cloths, same food, same equipment, same shoes. They can't choose anything, no money, no cars, no doors in houses, they can't choose their kids name, and they can't choose spouses. Lois Lowry was born in on March 20, 1937, to Robert E. Hammer's berg and Katherine Landis in Honolulu, Hawaii. They moved to Brooklyn, New York, in 1939, and then to Carlisle, Pennsylvania, in 1942, when the U.S. entered World War II.
